WIG Frankfort Internships

Student Government Association’s Student Internship Program extends to Frankfort, KY, in Spring 2013, offering experiential opportunities in the offices of Kentucky’s Auditor of Public Accounts, Commissioner of Agriculture, and Secretary of State.

Office of State Auditor of Public Accounts – Adam H. Edelen

Students interested in an internship in the office of the Auditor should complete a topical application sheet at www.uksga.org/WIG. The internship requires a student work Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Office of the Auditor in Frankfort, KY. All full-time students at the University of Kentucky are eligible to apply. The selected student may apply for PS 399 Internship in Government academic credit through the Political Science Department of the College of Arts and Sciences or equivalent credit within his/her college of study.

Office of Commissioner of Agriculture - James R. Comer

Students interested in an internship in the office of the Commissioner of Agriculture should complete a topical application sheet at www.uksga.org/WIG. The internship requires a student work Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Office of Commissioner  of Agriculture in Frankfort, KY. All full-time students at the University of Kentucky are eligible to apply. The selected student may apply for PS 399 Internship in Government academic credit through the Political Science Department of the College of Arts and Sciences or equivalent credit within his/her college of study.

Office of Secretary of State Liaison – Lundergan Grimes

Students interested in an internship in the office of the Secretary of State should complete a topical application sheet at www.uksga.org/WIG. The internship requires a student work Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Office of the Secretary of State in Frankfort, KY. All full-time students at the University of Kentucky are eligible to apply. The selected student may apply for PS 399 Internship in Government academic credit through the Political Science Department of the College of Arts and Sciences or equivalent credit within his/her college of study.

Office of Attorney General – Jack Conway

Students interested in a summer 2013 internship in the office of the Attorney General should complete a topical application sheet (link to application sheet). The internship requires a student work three days per week from mid May to early August, during summer 2013, in the Office of the Attorney General in Frankfort, KY. Only rising second-year law students at the University of Kentucky College Law are eligible to apply.
