About me: My name is Gammon Fain, and I’m a junior originally from Berea, Kentucky. I’m double majoring in Political Science and Integrated Strategic Communications, and after graduation, I plan to go to law school. This year, I’m excited to serve as the Director of Government Relations for UK SGA, because I believe civic engagement to be one of the most important pieces of campus life.

With a presidential election in November, the 2016-17 school year is going to be a great time for students to get involved in political and civic life. Through internships, voter registration, advocacy programs, promotional events, and many other opportunities for students, UK SGA can help any and every student on campus get involved in processes that directly affect them every day. When we inform ourselves and get fully engaged, we can empower ourselves and our peers to accomplish great things, and that’s what our team is here to help you do.

Whether you’re looking for an internship opportunity, interested in a specific piece of legislation at the state or federal level, have an idea for a new initiative, or need more information about getting involved in SGA or in the political process, send me an email and I can help you get in touch with someone from our team.

Other Campus Involvement: UK Visitor Center, Beta Theta Pi exec, Odyssey editor-in-chief, Honors Program
