WIG Internship

WIG is proud to announce summer internship opportunities in six (6) Kentucky Congressional offices for summer 2012. These positions, reserved specifically for University of Kentucky students, include a $1,500 living stipend for those selected through this process. The McConnell Congressional internship deadline has passed, but five other internships remain. To apply, please complete the following application sheet:

Students who do not know their Congressional district should access Kentucky Voter Information Center to see their registration and district information (https://cdcbp.ky.gov/VICWeb/index.jsp).

All application sheets should be submitted with completed internship applications, specific to the office of interest, to the Student Government Office in room 120 of the Student Center by 3 p.m. on the date of deadline. Students deemed qualified by an unaffiliated selection committee will be notified for an interview within 24 hours of the deadline. One preferred and one secondary candidate will be recommended for selection to each respective office, at which point that office will award the summer position to one student. Those selected students will be eligible for a $1,500 living stipend upon accepting the final offer.
